Conformation

General Properties -
Dotty is a brilliant copper red with flashy pure white markings – she has a a blaze with a full white ruff, chest and belly, and lots of white on her legs.  She has a sleek glossy coat with no problems.  She was shown at approximately 53 pounds.  She has a very clean, smooth profile.  She moves well; her front movement is straight down from the shoulder, she has a pronounced roll, and her rear movement is correct.  She is a strong, well-balanced animal who tends to move out quickly, covering lots of ground with her head up and her mouth shut.  She is an exceptionally active bitch, with an eager, alert expression.  She is not particularly dignified.

Head  -  Dotty’s head is massive, with great length, depth and breadth, and a beautiful brick shape.  She has a very clean head, with a single wrinkle over her nose.  Her layback is absolutely flat, with a nose that lays back perfectly into the line of the skull.  She has a deeply etched stop which extends the full length of her skull.  Her eyes are dark, healthy, and properly placed.  Her cheeks are properly filled in.  Her ears are set correctly and carried in a proper rose position, but they are somewhat coarser than they should be.  Her jaw is wide and well turned, with straight, even teeth; she buttons up with no teeth showing.  Her pigment is shoe-polish black.  As a young bitch, her jaw was absolutely true; at the age of six, it’s slightly off.

Body  --  Dotty is very short-backed, with a flawless topline which flows without a break into a perfectly set pump tail. She has good, well-sprung rib and good bone. She has good tuck-up, but could use more brisket. She is slightly straighter through the hock than the ideal. She has very small, neat feet.

Health and Temperament  --  At age six, Dotty is a healthy bitch with none of the problems which often plague her breed. She has clear healthy, properly constructed eyes with no extra lashes; she has never even had tear stains. She has an excellent throat and soft palate, and her nostrils are wide open. She has a beautiful pump tail – with no problems. She has no allergies or other skin problems. Her thyroid is normal. She is sound and exceptionally active – her preferred speed is fast forward. She is affectionate and eager for attention in a busy home with several other dogs, kids, and animals of various species. She is dominant toward bitches she doesn’t know, and does well with those she knows.

Show Record

Dotty does not live with use and was never shown consistently.  She has nine points, and was competitive enough to have been finished if we had shown her after she had her pups.

Breeding Record

Dotty’s  sire, Ch. Resolute Magic Mountain ("Eric"), was only bred twice (to the same bitch -- Shrink-a-Bull Clementine).  These breedings produced a total of five pups – one of whom finished.  Eric was seven when he died.  Dotty’s  paternal grandsire, Ch. Charjo’s Gullible Gilbert, produced seven champions, five of whom finished with one or more specialty majors.  Of these five, two had multiple specialty Best of Breeds, including Ch. Warmvalley Gilly’s Sophia, who was the second bitch to go Best of Breed at the Nationals.  Gilly was eight and half when he died.  Dotty’s paternal grandmother, Ch. Post Hoc Whitney Houston, produced 2 champions.  She lived to eleven and a half years.  Dotty’s mother, Shrink-a-Bull Clementine, is died at 12.  Dotty’s maternal grandmother died in whelp.  We believe that her maternal grandsire, Ch. Deydel’s Thadeus T (Teddy), was approximately 9-10 years old when he died.  Teddy sired two champions.

Her Progeny

Dotty has had two litters.  From the first litter, one is a champion, Ch, Resolute Doublenought Seven.  He was Reserve Winners Dog at the Long Island Bulldog Club Specialty.  Her second litter is three years old, and three of the four pups are being shown.  Ch. Resolute Magic Dragon took Reserve Winners Dog and Best Puppy under Frank Kauffman and Best in Sweeps under Pat Hartle at the BCNJ Specialty and was Best Puppy Dog at the Bulldog Club of Connecticut Specialty Match at age six months under English judge Fred Haynes.  He finished with four majors.  His sister is Ch. Resolute Absolute Force.
