Conformation

Jack is a joyful dog who dances, kisses and cuddles his way through life. He is red and white, with a thick, glossy, healthy coat and no allergies or skin problems of any kind. He has an excellent throat and wide nostrils. He is a very active, happy, outgoing dog who loves people and gets along well with dogs of both sexes and all ages. He is even-tempered, with absolutely no interest in being top dog. He has a nice roll, good reach and drive, ands strong rear movement; he comes in very slightly in front. He weighs about 60 pounds.

Head -  Jack has an outstanding head — clean, classic brick-shaped, well broken up with a very deep stop along its entire length. His head is large and his foreface is excellent. He has virtually perfect layback and great length of skull, and a very wide, true, well-turned jaw of correct length, which buttons up perfectly. His teeth are perfectly straight. His ears are properly set, correctly rosed, and thin. His eyes are virtually black, perfectly placed, and particularly strong in his line -- there are no extra eyelashes and no structural problems of any kind in his own eyes, his parents’ or any of his grandparents’. He has exceptionally heavy black pigment and a black mask; he pigmented earlier than average.

Jack is a very neat, balanced little dog. He has good bone and deep rib, with very good tuck-up. He has an exceptionally powerful, well muscled neck with a pronounced "stallion" arch which is typical of his sire’s line. He is short-backed, with a low-set tail which is somewhat tighter than we would prefer, although it has never caused him problems. He has neat little feet with strong pasterns.

Show Record

Jack is from his father’s last litter. He came to live with as an adult who had never been shown at matches or point shows. He has nine points, including one major, and won or placed second in the open class in three local specialties.

Breeding Record

Jack’s sire, CH. RESOLUTE DREADNOUGHT, has produced 10 champions to date – of which nine have one or more specialty majors; two more are pointed and currently in the show ring. See his section for more detail. Jack’s mom, Ch. Shrink-a-Bull Go for the Blu ("Prudence"), finished with three majors, and to date has produced one champion (Jack’s littermate, Ch. Lakewind's Resolute Nautilus), who finished with three five-point specialty majors under Dean Anderson, Dixie Little and Henry Helmar. Prudence is a short-backed, heavy-boned, and barrel-chested, with an exceptional head, shoulders and rib. She has a great throat and eyes; strong movement; and a calm, confident, and outgoing disposition.

Jack’s first litter is one pup from a very tight line breeding. Ch. Camelot's Jump N Jack Flash has Jack’s head and neck, a short back with a very nice top line, and a perfectly set little tail from a very pretty mother without much tail. He was Best in Futurity at the BCNJ Futurity and took a five point major at the BCNJ Specialty under Frank Kauffman.
