Background
Norton's dad is Ch. Warmvalley Son A' Risin', who is a son of CH. DEYDEL STEADFAST HERCULES and Ch. Warmvalley's Gillie's Sophia. Herc is a BCA Hall of Fame stud who sired 13 champions. He was a short-backed, well balanced dog with a beautiful head and jaw, strong rear, excellent rib, shoulders and chest and a good tail. Both his parents are in the Hall of Fame, as is one grandsire. Sophie was the second bitch ever to win the BCA Nationals and had a classic head and excellent topline. Her sire went back to English lines on one side and primarily to Marlene Hall's on the other. Sophie's dam was a Hall of Fame Producer who went back to the Hubbard's and Howd's lines on one side and primarily to Dey Del and Joan Fisher's lines on the other. Norton's Littermate, Ch. Warmvalley Shades of Hope, finished at the National show and went on to a career with multiple specialty Best of Breeds.
Norton's mom is Ch. RESOLUTE SONRISE RISIN' STAR ("Holly"). Holly took her first major at the Bulldog Club of New England specialty under Liz Karshner, then took the summer off. She came to us in August to get ready for the Nationals, and finished her championship in three weeks flat. She made the final cut each day at the 1997 Nationals and has several specialty Best of Breeds and Best of Opposite Sex since then. Holly has three champion produce, and another two who needs a major to finish and fourth pointed pup who is just starting out. Norton is from her first litter. He has a sister currently being shown. From the second litter three finished their championships; we kept Ch. Resolute Sonrise Polaris and her brother, Ch. Resolute Sonrise Paladin, their sister Ch. Sonrise Resolute Red Maple is owned by Chester Spraski and the Mineccis.
