Conformation

General Properties -  Peggy Sue is a clean, very polished bitch who is being shown at approximately 60 pounds.  Despite her size, she is not doggy in appearance. She is a clear red fawn - "strawberry blonde" would describe her exactly - with flashy, pure white markings.  She has a wide white ruff, chest, blaze/muzzle and white socks almost to the elbow.  She had a black "penciling" around the eyes and heavy "shoe polish black" pigment.  She has a short, slick, glossy "patent leather" coat, with no allergies or skin problems.  She is an immaculate bitch who always looks ready to show.  She has an excellent throat and wide nostrils, and always shows with her mouth shut.  She is intelligent, mischievous, playful and affectionate with people.  She is dominant toward bitches who challenge her, and loves males and puppies of all ages.  Peggy Sue is an excellent mover from every angle; she has never needed encouragement to step out strongly, and she naturally keeps her head up and her eye on her handler.   Peggy Sue stacks herself perfectly, and is one of the few bulldogs who is shown to best advantage free baited without a hand on her.

Head -  Peggy Sue has a very clean, well-broken up head with exceptional length of skull and a beautiful sculpted stop.  She has a well-turned, absolutely true jaw which buttons up with no teeth showing.  She has well-developed cheeks.  Her ears are exceptionally fine and perfectly set.  Her eyes are almost black, properly set, and completely healthy . . . she doesn’t even have tear stains.  She has a broken wrinkle over the nose. Her skull is absolutely flat.  She had a beautiful, well-arched neck.

Body -  Peggy Sue is big, solid bitch with outstanding rib, shoulders, chest and brisket.  She has excellent bone.  She has small neat feet which stay perfectly white.  Her tail is properly set, and she has never had tail problems of any kind. She has a medium-length back and nice tuck up.

Show Record

Peggy Sue won the Bulldog Club of New Jersey Breeder’s Futurity under Sara Carnrick as a pup.  She took her first major as Winners Bitch at the Bulldog Club of Philadelphia Specialty  under Darlene Stuedeman.  She was Reserve Winners Bitch at the Lower Susquehanna Bulldog Club under Hank Williams, where her brother was BOW, was Reserve Winners Bitch at the BCNJ specialty under Frank Kauffman and has won the open class at several other specialties.  She finished with her last major going BOS and Winners Bitch in November 2000.

Breeding Record

Peggy Sue was her sire's 10th champion, making him eligible for the Hall of Fame.  Of CH. RESOLUTE DREADNOUGHT's 10 champions, nine finished with one or more specialty majors.  Another pup is pointed and currently being shown.  Peggy Sue’s littermate, Ch. Resolute Rosewood Gentle Ben, finished with four majors, including LSBC and the backup show. We anticipate that Peggy Sue will be the second champion from the five pups her mom produced.  Both grandfathers are in the BCA Hall of Fame, as are four of her eight great-grandparents.

Her Pups -  Peggy Sue recently had a litter of four -- two of each sex -- by Ch Shrink-A-Bull Top Gun.  All four went to show homes.  Win-An's Resolute Jamaican Me Crazy, is co-owned by us and Nancy Schultz, Peggy Sue's co-owner.
